Blocks the apps you choose until you photograph your hand on real grass.
Touch Grass blocks the apps you choose. To open them again, go outside, put your hand on the grass and take a photo.
The photo is checked on your phone: it must show a hand on real grass. Your apps then stay unlocked for 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, and the block comes back.
How it works
• Choose the apps to block.
• Open one and a block screen covers it, also in split screen and floating windows.
• Take a photo of your hand on the grass, or use a skip.
• Removing an app or turning blocking off also takes a photo or a skip.
Free
• Up to 2 apps
• 1 skip a month
• Grass photos
Pro, monthly or yearly
• Any number of apps, and whole categories such as games or social apps
• 3 skips a month
• Photos of the sky or a tree as well as grass
• 30 days of statistics: time in blocked apps, accepted photos, streak
Skip packs of 1, 3 or 5 are one-time purchases and never expire. They are stored only on this phone: reinstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
Privacy
• No internet access, no account, no ads. The app sends nothing anywhere.
• Photos are checked in memory and never saved. Only a short fingerprint of each accepted photo is kept, to catch a reused photo.
• Accessibility service: used only to see which app is on screen and cover the ones you blocked. It reads app names and window sizes, never what is inside an app, and shares nothing. You turn it on yourself after an explanation in the app.
• Usage access is optional and used only for Pro statistics, on your phone.
Some phones close background apps to save battery. Touch Grass shows what to change and tells you when blocking stops working.
