Kit: Paint & Stash

Kit is a bench companion for miniature painters and scale modellers. It keeps track of the paints you own, the kits waiting to be built, and the projects you have in progress, so you spend your hobby time painting instead of hunting through boxes. Formerly AskKit. YOUR PAINT STASH, IN ORDER Add paints by brand, range and code, and see every one as a real swatch rendered from its actual colour and finish: matte, gloss, metallic, contrast or wash. Your stash is sorted by brand and then by colour, so each brand reads as a spectrum instead of an alphabetical jumble. Over 11,800 paints from 40+ brands are built in. SCAN YOUR SHELF Point your camera at a row of pots and let Kit read the labels. It adds what it recognises straight to your stash, so you are not typing in a hundred paints by hand. NEVER BUY THE SAME PAINT TWICE Standing in the shop wondering if you already own it? Your stash works offline, so you can check in a basement games shop with no signal. The paint catalogue ships inside the app, no connection required. PROJECTS AND STAGES Turn a kit into a project and track it through the stages that matter — assembly, priming, basecoats, shading, highlights, basing. Record the colours you used on each stage so you can repeat the scheme on the next squad, a year later, and get the same result. A GALLERY THAT REMEMBERS Photograph your progress stage by stage and keep notes alongside. Your photos stay on your device. FIND THE EQUIVALENT Just ask Kit in the chat: "what is the closest Vallejo to Mephiston Red?" Kit matches paints across brands by their actual colour, not by their name, tells you how close each match really is, and marks the ones already sitting in your stash. ASK KIT Stuck on a technique? Ask. Kit answers in a sentence or two, points you at real tutorial videos from painters worth watching, and finds published colour recipes for the model in front of you — with a link to the source. SIX LANGUAGES English, Polski, Deutsch, Francais, Espanol and Japanese. Kit is free to use. Your stash, your projects and your photos live on your device.

Your paints, in colour order. The Stash now sorts by brand, then by the paint's actual colour rather than its name, so each brand reads as a spectrum. Greys, whites and metallics sit together at the end. Project colours use the same order. Also: navigation follows each platform's own conventions, Export is now Share, and many metallic paints render with the right sheen.
