Whiskr: private messenger

Whiskr is a messenger for the people you actually know. Nobody can find you here. There is no search by name, username or phone number, no contact sync and no public channels. Someone becomes your contact only when you give them your invite yourself — a link, a code or a QR shown from your phone. A stranger has nothing to look you up by, so there is nothing to spam. CHATS • One-to-one chats that grow into a group of up to 100 people — it is the same chat, just add someone • Photos, videos and files, voice messages and video notes • Replies, forwarding, editing, deleting, reactions • Read receipts and «typing…» CALLS • Voice and video calls one to one YOUR ACCOUNT • Sign in with Google or Apple — no phone number, no email • Several devices at once, the same history on each, and Whiskr in the browser • Your name and photo are seen only by your contacts and the people in your chats • Choose who sees when you are online: your contacts or nobody Whiskr is free: up to 3 chats, videos and files up to 50 MB, video calls in 360p. Whiskr Plus gives 10 chats, files up to 500 MB, video calls in 720p, accent colours and chat backgrounds, and a Plus badge. Whiskr Max has no chat limit, files up to 10 GB, video calls in 1080p, fast connect, every colour and background, and a Max badge.

The screen no longer goes dark in the middle of a call, so you don't have to keep tapping it to stay in sight of a video or speaker call. In a video call, your own picture now moves down with the buttons when they hide, and you can drag it to any corner. Scanning a QR code also works with the phone turned sideways.
