AAC picture board helping autistic kids speak — ABA & Floortime inside
AutiSpeak is an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app designed to help autistic children and nonverbal communicators express needs, feelings, and everyday choices through simple picture-based cards.
The app includes:
• Talk board: large visual cards grouped by category, with a sentence strip that builds phrases such as “I want apple” or “I feel happy.”
• Feelings board: emotion cards that speak in the selected language to support emotional expression.
• Help/Protest board: emergency-style communication cards like “Help,” “Break,” or “I need space,” meant for quick, one-tap access.
• Play practice mode: ABA-style discrete trial training with prompts, praise, and star rewards.
• Parent dashboard: tracks cards tapped, sentences spoken, trial accuracy, stars, and top words, with JSON export/reset features.
Key features:
• Uses emoji and Mulberry-style symbol images for clear visual communication.
• Supports many languages and voice choices.
• Uses built-in text-to-speech so the app works offline.
• Learns from card sequences to suggest likely next words.
• Logs activity for progress monitoring and parent review.
The goal is to combine communication support, emotional expression, structured learning, and data collection in one simple, child-friendly app.
