Turn chores and good habits into points your kids save and spend. Offline.
StarBank helps parents turn chores, homework and good habits into points that
children can save up and spend on rewards you agree on together. A simple,
fair system your family can stick to — even offline.
HOW IT WORKS
• Set up your family in a couple of minutes. Common chores and rewards are ready
to go, so you never start from a blank screen.
• Award points in a few taps when a task is done. Tasks can be flat (“Make the
bed” = 3 points) or measured (“Study” = 10 points per 30 minutes).
• Redeem points for rewards: screen time, treats, a toy, or “cash out” into
savings or pocket money at your own point value.
• Each child sees their balance grow, in points and in money, plus what they can
afford right now, and a savings goal in points or money.
• A daily chore list: pick which chores are due on which days (every day,
weekdays, weekends or your own), then tick them off on Today.
• Forgot to tick one? Fill in any of the last 7 days.
• Streak bonus: extra points when a chore is done N days in a row.
• An ⓘ next to each feature explains it with an example.
FAIR AND TRANSPARENT
• Every award and redemption is kept in a history, so there are no arguments
about “you already spent that”.
• Made a mistake? Void an entry with a reason — it stays visible in the history.
• Weekly, monthly and all-time reports for each child show what was earned and
spent, and which chores they do most.
MONEY JARS — LEARN WHAT POINTS CAN DO (optional)
• New points land in your child's Pocket; together you plan how many go into
Spend, Save and Give — and, as they grow, Save that earns interest like a
fixed deposit and Grow that moves with a pretend share market (pretend
points, real lessons, no investment advice).
• Or tell the story yourself: add a rate cut or a good monsoon and talk about
why Grow moved.
• A Piggy Bank per child for gift money from relatives, kept in money.
• One level per child, suggested from their age. Try the extra levels free
for 30 days.
• A weekly money talk with conversation cards, and a monthly summary.
CHILD MODE AND FEELINGS
• Hand your phone to your child, or use it together with them: they see their
own points, jars and goal, and can plan their jars. Your PIN gets you back.
• A gentle feelings check-in with a calm corner. Feelings stay on your phone,
only parents see them, and they never affect points.
• A home-screen widget per child, drawn as jars, bars, a growing tree, a
rocket or a doughnut.
ONE FAMILY, SEVERAL PHONES (optional)
• Both parents — and grandparents — can each use StarBank on their own phone
and see the same children, points and history.
• Live family sync is end-to-end encrypted: changes are encrypted on your
phone, so not even we can read them. Join a phone with a one-time code.
• Grandparents can award points and see history; redeeming, reports and
settings stay with the parents.
• Live family sync is free for now, with no subscription. Without sync,
“Merge a backup” brings two phones together, also free.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Works offline. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking.
• Your family’s data lives on your phone.
• Optional voice commands (off until you turn them on): say “Give Aanya 8
points for the dishes”. Speech is understood on your phone — never
recorded, kept or sent anywhere.
• A parent PIN, with optional fingerprint or face unlock, keeps kids from
awarding themselves points. The app locks itself when you leave it.
• Back up to a file whenever you like — optionally protected with a PIN — and
restore it on a new phone.
YOURS TO SHAPE
• Add your own tasks, rewards and units (minutes, pages, lessons, laps…).
• Choose your currency and how much one point is worth.
• A built-in help guide explains everything, by touch and by voice.
StarBank tracks points only. It does not move, hold or pay out real money; any
“cash out” is a record of what you have agreed to give your child.
Novedades
Forgot to tick a chore? Parents can now fill in any of the last 7 days, from Today (Yesterday or Pick a day) or the Award screen; History shows it was added late. New streak bonus: give extra points when a chore is done a set number of days in a row.
