A minimal, text-only home screen. No icons, no ads, no internet permission.
TextLauncher replaces your home screen with something quieter: a clock, the date, and a short list of the apps you actually use, written as plain text. No icons, no widgets, no feeds.
A SINGLE, CALM HOMESCREEN
• Large clock with optional seconds, in 12- or 24-hour time
• Weekday and date beneath it, designed as one tidy block
• Your chosen apps as a simple list, in one or two columns
• Put apps in any slot and leave gaps where you like: long-press empty space, then drag
ALL YOUR APPS, ONE TAP AWAY
• Swipe up, or use a small button in the corner, to see every app in an alphabetical list
• Long-press any app to add it to the homescreen, rename it, hide it, uninstall it, or open its Android settings
• Hidden apps stay out of the list but can be opened or unhidden from settings
• Tap the clock to open an app of your choice (for example your alarm clock)
MAKE IT YOURS
• Font, font size and text color
• Background color, your system wallpaper, or your own image
• Text shadow or glow so names stay readable on any background
• Light, dark, or follow the system theme
• Show or hide the notification bar
• Lock the homescreen to portrait or let it rotate
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No internet permission: the app cannot send anything anywhere
• No ads, no analytics, no accounts
• No storage permission: background images come through Android's own photo picker
• Everything you set stays on your phone
To start, open Text Launcher, then press your Home button and choose it as your home app. Long-press the clock at any time for settings.
