Fill the grid so every equation adds up. A crossword made of math.
MathWeave is a crossword where the clues are equations.
Every row and column of the grid is a small sum, using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Some numbers are already on the board. The rest are tiles in the tray below. Your job is to put each tile in the right place so every equation works, across and down.
It sounds simple until you notice that one number can belong to two equations at once. Each tile you place affects the equations around it, so you'll need to think ahead.
HOW TO PLAY
• Tap an empty cell on the board
• Tap a number tile from the tray to place it there
• Changed your mind? Tap a placed tile to send it back to the tray
• Make every horizontal and vertical equation correct to solve the puzzle
THREE DIFFICULTIES
• Easy: small grids and friendly numbers. Good for warming up or a quick break.
• Medium: larger boards with more connected equations.
• Hard: tall grids with many equations that cross each other. Each tile choice has to work in both directions.
PLAY AT YOUR OWN PACE
• No pressure. Take as long as you like on every puzzle.
• Stuck? Select a cell and use a hint to place the right tile.
• Want a fresh start? Restart the level at any time.
