Universal remote control for Samsung, LG, Roku, Google TV & Vizio. WiFi + IR.
Beam is a free universal TV remote that turns your Android phone into a smart TV remote control. Use it as a WiFi remote for Samsung, LG, Roku, Vizio, Google TV and Android TV, or as an IR remote for older TVs on phones with an IR blaster. No account, no sign-up.
Lost the remote, batteries dead, or tired of typing with arrow keys? Beam finds your TV on WiFi in seconds, types into search boxes with your phone's keyboard, opens your apps from a grid, casts your photos and videos to the TV, and puts power and volume on a home-screen widget.
ONE UNIVERSAL REMOTE FOR ALL YOUR TVS
• WiFi TV remote for Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen), LG webOS TVs, Vizio SmartCast TVs, Roku TVs and Roku streaming sticks, Google TV, Android TV and Chromecast with Google TV
• Works with many TCL, Hisense, Sharp, Sony and Philips TVs that run Roku OS or Google TV
• IR remote control for older TVs: 120+ TV brands plus set-top boxes, with a "Find my model" wizard that tries codes until your TV answers
• Save several TVs, rename and reorder them, and switch with one tap. Beam reconnects to the TV you used last
EVERYTHING A TV REMOTE CONTROL SHOULD DO
• D-pad, OK, Back, Home, volume, mute, channel, media keys and a number pad
• Press-and-hold for volume and the D-pad on Google TV
• Gesture pad: swipe to move, tap for OK; pointer mode on LG TVs
• Input button to switch HDMI and other inputs
• Use your phone's volume buttons to change the TV volume while Beam is open
CAST PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO YOUR TV
• Pick photos or videos on your phone and play them on the big screen over WiFi, on TVs that support DLNA, including most Samsung and LG smart TVs
• No storage permission: you choose files with Android's photo picker
APPS, TYPING AND VOICE
• Open your streaming apps from a grid: your Roku's channels with their icons, or quick links on Google TV, plus links you add yourself
• Type into search boxes with your phone's keyboard, or speak to search
MACROS, SLEEP TIMER AND WIDGETS
• One tap runs a short list of steps: turn on, open an app, type, press keys. Start from a template such as "Movie night" or build your own
• Sleep timer: pick 15 to 90 minutes and Beam switches the TV off, even if the app is closed
• Small and medium home-screen widgets for power, volume, D-pad and your favourite macro, plus a Quick Settings tile for TV power
WAKE TV AND CONNECTION DOCTOR
• Wake your TV from standby over WiFi (Wake-on-LAN), if your TV allows it
• If a TV can't be reached, the Connection doctor checks your WiFi, the network and the TV, and tells you how to fix it
• If your TV got a new address, Beam finds it again and updates it for you
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Beam talks to your TV over your local network only and asks for no special permissions
• No account, and no tracking of what you watch. Crash reports help us fix bugs and never include your TV's name or address
• Beam is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob. There are never ads on the remote or cast screens. Remove ads with a one-time purchase, or watch one video for 24 hours without ads. You can review your ad choices in Settings where required
NOTES
• Google TV and Vizio show a one-time pairing code on the TV. Samsung and LG ask you to allow Beam once on the TV. If no prompt appears, make sure the TV screen is on and Access Notification is turned on in the TV's settings
• Roku needs "Control by mobile apps" turned on: Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Control by mobile apps
• Waking a TV, infrared and casting depend on your TV and phone; not every model supports them
• Beam is an independent app and is not affiliated with Roku, Google, Samsung, LG, Vizio or any TV brand. Names are used only to describe compatibility.
Novedades
• Samsung TVs: more reliable pairing on newer models, clear help when the Allow prompt doesn't appear, and no duplicate prompts when you try again
• Safer, verified connections to your TV
• Crash reports so we can fix problems faster
• No ad when you leave Settings
