BanditKin: Private Maps & ALPR

License-plate readers on every corner. Map apps that remember everywhere you've been. Location apps that sell your family's movements. BanditKin is built for people who've had enough: see the surveillance cameras around you, route around them, and stay close to your circle without feeding anyone's database. SEE THE CAMERAS AROUND YOU • A map of automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras, the ones many people know as "Flock" cameras, built from public and community data • See each known camera's location, its approximate capture zone, and who operates it • Turn on camera avoidance and your route steers around cameras facing your path, with a strength slider you control. If no camera-free route exists, BanditKin says so instead of pretending • Spot a camera that isn't mapped yet? Report it in two taps. Reports never carry your identity or your location history • A privacy preference, not a cloak: camera locations are public data, coverage is community-mapped and still growing, and this layer never sends who you are PRIVATE NAVIGATION The big map apps tie every search and destination to your identity. BanditKin computes routes on your phone. • Fully offline maps: save your whole area in one tap, then search addresses and navigate with no signal • On-device turn-by-turn with spoken directions, posted speed limits, and lane guidance where road data allows • Private modes keep your destinations and searches on your phone, always • Anonymous Online mode (the default) adds online search and traffic-aware routing through a privacy relay that separates your network address from your request. Switch to a private mode any time • Android Auto support and a clean dark map for night driving A LOCATION APP THAT CAN'T SPY ON YOU • Live circle map with 24-hour history, place alerts (arrive & leave), SOS, and check-ins • Encrypted texts, voice notes, and a push-to-talk walkie-talkie • Locations, names, messages, and Places are end-to-end encrypted on your device. Our relay can't read them. No ads. No analytics. No data sales. No account. No phone number • Self-host the server on your own hardware if you want total control FREE TO TRY. ONE PLAN FOR YOUR WHOLE CIRCLE. Every cloud circle starts with a 30-day free trial: no card, no account. After that, one plan covers everyone in your circle: $4.99/month, $39.99/year, or $99.99 once for lifetime access. Self-hosting is free. Circles created during early access keep their free plan. CONSENT-FIRST BY DESIGN BanditKin is for people who choose to share with each other. Everyone joins by scanning a QR code in person or pasting an invite a member sent them, everyone sees when sharing is on, and anyone can pause or leave at any time. It is not for tracking anyone without their knowledge. Your circle. Your data. Your device. Questions? [email protected]
