Nonogram puzzles, also called picture cross, griddlers or hanjie, are logic puzzles: fill the grid by the numbers and a picture appears. Every board is solvable by line logic, so there is no guessing, and the whole game works offline. How it plays • The numbers beside each row and column give the runs of filled squares, in order. • Tap to fill, or drag along a line to fill several squares at once. • Mark empty squares with a cross or a dot. Hold for the other mark. • Finished lines are crossed out for you, and finished clue numbers are struck through. • The square you are aiming at is ringed above your finger, so your thumb never hides it. • Pinch to zoom on big boards. Undo and redo any step. Hints that teach • A hint points to one row or column and names the rule: Overlap, Block finished, Gap too small, Out of reach and more. • Check mistakes shows wrong squares only when you ask. • First time with nonograms? A short tutorial teaches the basics on a few small boards.
