VoiceNote+: Transcribe Audio

VoiceNote+ turns audio into text right on your phone. Pick a recording, or tap the mic and talk. Speech recognition runs on your device with OpenAI's Whisper model, so your audio is never uploaded for transcription. TRANSCRIBE AUDIO FILES • Open a recording from your phone or a cloud drive (M4A, MP3, WAV, OGG and other common audio formats, plus MP4 video) • Get the text with [00:00] timestamps, or turn timestamps off for clean text • Copy the result, share it, or save it as a .txt file LIVE DICTATION • Tap record, speak, and stop. Your words become a note • The audio is kept with the note so you can listen again 14 LANGUAGES English (US and UK), Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Vietnamese and Thai. CHOOSE YOUR WHISPER MODEL • Tiny (~40 MB), Base (~80 MB), Small (~250 MB), Medium (~500 MB) or Large v3 (~1.5 GB) • Smaller models are faster. Larger models are more accurate, especially for languages other than English • A model downloads once. After that, transcription works without an internet connection YOUR RECORDINGS, IN ONE PLACE • Browse dictations and converted files by date • Play back audio, rename, share or delete PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-up • Audio and transcripts stay in the app's storage on your phone • Transcription happens on the device. Nothing is sent to a speech server GOOD TO KNOW • Large models need more storage and take longer on older phones • Accuracy depends on the model, the language and recording quality. Whisper can occasionally produce text during long silences • VoiceNote+ is free and shows ads (a banner, plus an occasional full-screen ad after a conversion or dictation).
