The city after rain: wet asphalt, lamp light in long cones and neon edges on every obstacle. A side-on skate game told through a night crew's group chat.
Juno: Streets are dry enough tonight. Who's rolling?
You: Me. How do the controls work again?
Juno: No buttons. Press anywhere to pop, keep your finger down and flick. Right is a kickflip, left a heelflip, down a shove-it, up a tre flip.
Pip: Land on rails to slide them, and land clean to lock in the combo. Three hearts per run.
Okke: Where are we skating?
Juno: The Path. 24 blocks across Old Town, Docklands, Neon Quarter and Uptown, on one zigzag trail. Up to three stars on each, and every cleared block opens the next.
You: Tram Lines gave me three stars.
Pip: Race me.
Okke: Race all three of us. Same road, same speed, higher score at the finish takes first place. Juno opens after 4 blocks and I open after 10.
Pip: Your last 20 races go in the log.
You: Someone said there's a story.
Pip: Eight chapters about the crew, from The Ledge Crew and Lights Out to Clock Tower. They unlock as you clear blocks and read in a sheet that slides up.
Okke: Check your Stats.
You: Three rings for clean landings, path progress and races first, plus tiles for sessions, tricks landed, rails, bails, letters, longest combo, metres rolled and air time.
Okke: The home screen shows blocks cleared, a Continue button, your latest race and the next chapter.
Pip: Lamp-light bokeh drifts and a slanted drizzle falls behind the menus. That animated background can be switched off in Settings, next to haptics, a gesture guide and a progress reset.
You: And it plays offline with no account?
Pip: All of it.
