The APK API turns the public Google Play listing into normalised JSON: one call returns the full card of an app, a search, a developer's catalogue or the apps that just vanished from the store. No crawler to run, no HTML to parse, and the data is already refreshed every night.
Send a package name to /v1/app and get the title, description, installs, rating and its star breakdown, price, in-app purchases, category, current version, screenshots and developer in a single JSON object.
/v1/search finds apps by words with filters for category, installs, rating, price, ads, the language of the title and release or update dates — the kind of query the Play Store interface never lets you run.
When an app leaves Google Play, apkapi.com keeps its last known card and the date it disappeared. /v1/removed lists them, so a delisting is a data point, not a dead end.
Pull a developer's whole catalogue, the Top-200 charts for any country and category, or how many installs it takes to reach the top in a given market.
Each request costs tokens: one for a card, two for a list. Failed requests are free.
| /v1/app | Full app card: description, installs, ratings and star split, price and purchases, category, version, screenshots, developer. | 1 |
| /v1/apps | Up to 100 cards in one request by package name. | 1 / app |
| /v1/search | Keyword search with filters: category, installs, rating, price, ads, title language, dates. | 2 |
| /v1/developer | All of a developer's apps, total installs, average rating, first release. | 2 |
| /v1/new | Newly released apps by release date. | 2 |
| /v1/removed | Apps that have left Google Play, with the date they went. | 2 |
| /v1/keywords | Words and phrases from titles in 70+ languages: apps, developers and installs behind each. | 2 |
| /v1/charts | Google Play Top-200 for each country and category: free, paid, grossing, with rank moves. | 2 |
| /v1/markets | Market competitiveness: installs needed for the top 100 in each country and category. | 1 |
| /v1/categories | 49 categories with app and install counts. | 0 |
Sign up on apkapi.com with an email — no card. Your key and 1,000 monthly tokens are in the cabinet right away.
Call an endpoint such as /v1/app?id=com.whatsapp with your key in the X-API-Key header. Anything that speaks HTTP works.
Every response is normalised JSON with the same field names across endpoints, so parsing one teaches you the rest.
Buy a token pack to raise your limits and see free-domain data, and batch up to 100 apps per call. Developer contacts are on Business.
You can parse the store's HTML by hand. Here is what that costs you, and what apkapi.com does instead.
| Store HTML shifts and breaks your parser | A stable JSON schema that does not change under you |
| Listings hide installs history and removed apps | Normalised fields plus a record of apps already gone |
| Rate limits and IP blocks when you scrape at scale | One key, clear token costs, 4M apps already collected |
| You rebuild the whole crawl every night | The catalogue refreshed nightly on our side |
| No trace once an app is delisted | Last-seen card and disappearance date preserved |
Compare competitors, size a category, find keyword niches and watch new releases in your vertical.
Know when an app updates, changes price or leaves the store — a delisting is still data here.
On Business, reach developer contacts: email, phone, address and the legal company name behind an app.
Find developers whose website domains are now free to register, next to how popular the app was.
APK API has run on apkapi.com since 2024, reading the public Google Play listing for more than four million apps and refreshing it every night. It is an independent service, not affiliated with Google, and it serves metadata only: apkapi.com does not host, distribute or link to APK files.
Apps with a million installs or more that the store stopped showing in the last two weeks.
Register in a minute, and your key is waiting in the cabinet — 1,000 Google Play lookups a month, no card.
