Crystal Music Box

iMusicBox puts a snow-globe music box on your phone. Five full-screen scenes show snow globes — Santa Claus, a princess, a mermaid — turning gently as the snow drifts down. Pair any scene with one of 15 music-box tunes, from Für Elise, Canon in D and Moonlight Sonata to songs from Castle in the Sky and My Neighbor Totoro, plus Christmas carols and Happy Birthday. It's made for unwinding, lulling a little one to sleep, or setting a festive mood. Play the tunes in order, shuffle them, or loop just one. A countdown timer stops playback when time is up, and its digits come in eight colors. You can also keep the screen on while it plays. Press Home during playback and iMusicBox moves into picture-in-picture, where you can still start or stop it. Every choice and setting is saved automatically, so the app opens just as you left it. Works on phones and tablets.
