iDVR turns your phone into a dedicated dash cam that writes the evidence into the footage itself. Time, GPS coordinates and speed are burned into every frame, so they stay readable after a video is copied, shared or edited. Date format, position, colour and a custom watermark such as a plate number are all adjustable, and you can take stills while recording.Record in up to 4K where the camera supports it, with automatic segments and loop recording. Save to an SD card and see at a glance how much recording time is left. A collision locks the current clip automatically, and one tap protects it by hand. Recording starts as soon as the app opens, picks up again after a call or an error, and carries on in picture-in-picture while you navigate. When the phone overheats it lowers the quality, and when the battery runs low it saves the clip before stopping. Speed is shown in km/h or mph, with an optional speed alert.
