Magnifier

iMagnifier turns your phone into a pocket magnifier, made for small print and for eyes that need a little help. It opens straight into a full-screen magnified view. Pinch to zoom, adjust brightness with the slider, and turn on the flash for dim corners. Tap to focus, or long-press to lock focus and exposure where you want them. Press pause to freeze the picture, then zoom in and look around without holding the phone steady. Seven reading modes — color, grayscale, inverted, black on yellow, yellow on black, white on blue and high contrast — make medicine leaflets, menus and bills easier to read. Take a photo to crop it, apply one of nine filters, and save, share or print it. Tap Read text and iMagnifier recognizes the words in view and reads them aloud straight away; the text stays on screen to hear again or copy. It reads Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Devanagari script. It also scans QR codes and barcodes, with an optional beep and a scan history, and can read the codes in a picture from your gallery. When several codes are in view, the picture freezes and each one is outlined, so you simply tap the one you want. Every result comes with the right action: open a link, call a number, send a text or an email, add a contact or a calendar event, show a place on the map, or see a Wi-Fi network's name and password. iMagnifier speaks 50 languages, works in portrait and landscape, and has no ads.
