CraftSky Social

Remember how good social media used to be for connecting with other crafters? CraftSky brings back everything that’s useful, with no adverts and leaving the data ownership in your hands. CraftSky is a social media platform purpose-built for the crafting community with a focus on textile and fibre crafts (our plan is to include more and more crafts as the app develops and grows). Share your WIPs and finished projects with as much detail as you like and connect with other crafters around the world. We don’t decide what you see, you choose who to follow, which determines what appears chronologically on your feed. Discover new makers and patterns by searching hashtags. Engage in meaningful interactions, get inspired and learn from each other’s project notes. Replace doom scrolling with engaged interaction and grow your online crafting community of choice. If you’re into sewing, quilting, dressmaking, knitting, crochet, embroidery and more, this is the app for you. Awesome Features: - Chronological feed - Searchable hashtags that actually work - Customisable search: filter by craft and more - Regular posts - Project posts - Video posts - Add links to any post Project Posts can include as much detail as you want with a range of optional fields including: - Materials - Size - Gauge - Project status (WIP, finished) - Project duration - Pattern (you can include links!) What sets us apart: - FREE! CraftSky is a complete social experience. Users can discover, view, and interact with all content. We will never hide content behind a paywall or require a subscription to participate in the community - No ads ever. Revenue to keep the app running will be generated by the optional premium subscriptions (more details below) - We don’t own your data, you do - CraftSky is open source, everything is developed out in the open for anyone to see - CraftSky is built on an open network, the AT Protocol, so it works seamlessly with apps like Bluesky, Leaflet and many more. Best of all, your followers and network are yours to keep. - You can enjoy all aspects of CraftSky for FREE and we also offer Plus and Business subscription plans for an enhanced experience and to help us keep the lights on.
