MeerGuard VPN: network shield

MeerGuard is a free, private VPN for Android that turns on with a single tap. Open the app, press the button, and the connection is protected. No signup required: free servers work right after install, with no account and no card. No VPN keys or subscription links to paste either, the servers are already in the app. WHAT IS INSIDE • One button, one clear state. The home screen shows session time, server country and remaining traffic. No tabs to dig through. • Split tunneling. You decide who gets the VPN: "selected apps and websites only" or "all except selected". Let your banking app go direct and send everything else through the tunnel. App and website lists are configured separately. • Three widget sizes. 1×1, 2×1 and 3×1 on the home screen: status, country, remaining traffic and a power button. You pick the size when you add it. • A control panel in the notification shade. Turn the tunnel on and off without opening the app. • A Quick Settings tile. Switch straight from the shade, one tap. • App icon shortcuts. Long press the icon to get your server list with the active one first, then tap to connect. • Voice commands. Google Assistant can turn protection on and off; the phrases for English and Russian live on their own screen. • Speed test and IP check. See your IP address and the country websites see, and the speed you actually get inside the tunnel. • Tablets. On a wide screen you get a side menu and a permanent server list next to the connect button. • Block connections without VPN. From the app settings, jump straight to Android's always-on VPN mode with blocking: if the tunnel drops, traffic does not go around it. • Support chat in the app. Ask a question right from the settings, no need to hunt for contacts. HOW IT WORKS MeerGuard uses the Android VpnService to create an encrypted tunnel between your phone and the server. Your traffic goes through it, except for the apps and websites you chose to exclude. This is Wi-Fi security for networks you do not control: cafe, airport or hotel Wi-Fi. The VPN works on mobile data too. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT HAVE • Ads, neither banners nor in app offers. • Selling your data to third parties. • Mandatory registration: free access works without an account. FREE ACCESS Free servers with a monthly traffic allowance are available immediately. The remaining amount is visible on the home screen, in the widget and in the shade; the allowance renews monthly, and the reset date is shown there too.
