Private, accessible messaging for teams and families, on phone, tablet and TV.
Relay is a calm, accessible messenger for teams, families and groups. It is the Android app for the Relay web app at relaaay.online: same account, same conversations, same settings, on your phone, your tablet and your TV.
MESSAGING
• One-to-one conversations and named groups
• Replies, reactions, edits and deletes that everyone sees
• Photos, files and voice notes
• Read receipts, typing indicators and presence you can switch off
• Search every conversation, or within one
• Pin, mute and clear conversations; drafts follow you between devices
• Messages you write offline wait on your phone and send themselves when you reconnect
BUILT FOR EVERYONE
• Over a dozen themes, each meeting WCAG AA contrast, including high contrast and themes for deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia and monochrome vision
• Adjustable text size, line spacing, letter spacing, a dyslexia-friendly font and bold text
• Full TalkBack support, with new messages announced as they arrive
• Message status shown with distinct icons, never colour alone
• Larger touch targets, visible focus and full keyboard support
• Respects Android's font size and remove-animations settings
ON YOUR TV
• A ten-foot layout designed for the remote: every screen works with the D-pad
• Large text, clear focus and overscan-safe margins
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No ads, no analytics, no third-party tracking
• Block and report people from their profile, and report any message
• See every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out
• Sign in with a password, an email code, a passkey or a quick-unlock PIN
• Export all your data, or delete your account and everything in it, from inside the app
Relay needs an account on relaaay.online. You can also try it straight away as a guest.
What's new
Message requests: messages from new people wait in Requests until you accept. Messages you write offline send as soon as you're back online. A welcome for new accounts, bigger buttons, clearer wording, less memory used by photos and videos, and a TV crash fix.
