Block distracting apps & websites. Screen time control that actually sticks.
Nudge blocks the apps and websites that eat your day - and it gets harder to
ignore the more you try.
Open something you told Nudge to guard and a friendly full-screen blocker
appears with a countdown. Wait it out, or go do something else. Come back to
the same app later and the wait is longer. Come back again and it is longer
still. Every timer resets at midnight, so tomorrow always starts clean.
HOW IT WORKS
• Choose the apps you want to stay out of
• Block whole categories of websites - social feeds, video, gambling, shopping,
news - or add your own domains
• Set a session limit and get interrupted after too long on the phone
• Tune the escalation: the first wait, how fast it grows, and a hard cap so it
never becomes absurd
BUILT TO ACTUALLY WORK
Nudge keeps running after you swipe it away. It survives a reboot. Escalation
is tracked per app and per site, so being nudged by one app never punishes you
for opening a different one.
SEE WHERE YOUR DAY GOES
A stats screen shows how many times you were interrupted, how long you spent
waiting, and exactly which apps and websites cost you the most - today,
yesterday, or across the last week or month.
NUDGE PRO
Free covers 5 apps, 2 website categories, 3 custom domains and a week of
history. Pro removes every limit and adds:
• Unlimited apps, categories and domains
• Strict mode - removes the "let me through" button entirely
• 30 days of history instead of 7
• The full per-app and per-site breakdown
Available as a one-time purchase or a subscription.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Nudge has no account, no cloud, no analytics and no ads. Nothing you do is
uploaded, logged or sent anywhere. All matching happens on your device.
ABOUT THE PERMISSIONS
Nudge uses Android's accessibility service to see which app is currently open
and to read your browser's address bar. That is the only way an app can know
when to step in, and it is used for nothing else - the text it reads is matched
against your blocklist and immediately discarded. Nudge also needs permission
to draw over other apps (that is the block screen itself) and runs a foreground
service with a permanent notification, which is what keeps it alive in the
background.
Nudge is a commitment device, not a parental control app. It works because you
chose to set it up.
