Description
Predict glaze surface, fit and colour, then plan 🗺️ tests and kiln firings.
Scaravilt Gunudul is a glaze chemistry studio for potters. Write a glaze recipe in parts by weight and watch 👀 the chemistry appear as you type ⌨️: the unity formula, the oxide limits for the cone you're firing to, and a prediction of surface, fit and colour, each with the reasons behind it.
Findings point out what to fix — a crazing risk, a glaze left underfired at cone 6, a flux balance ⚖️ that skews the melt — and offer a rebalance: swap one material for another from your own shelf, or nudge the recipe toward a target 🎯 COE. Recipes can carry a fired photo 📸 and export 📤 as a printable card.
Plan 🗺️ line blends, triaxial blends and colorant ladders, and see 👀 every tile's surface, colour and fit predicted before a gram is mixed. Log 📝 fired results against the prediction, and generate a batching sheet by weight or by volume.
Build 🔨 firing schedules by cone, ware thickness and cooling, review the segment table 📋 and curve, and log 📝 firings with witness cones. Scaravilt Gunudul turns those cone readings into a kiln offset and keeps a running calibration as more firings are logged.
A reference library 📚 of raw materials, frits and clay bodies comes built in, each with its oxide analysis and molecular formula, and custom materials and bodies can be added alongside them. Mark what's on your shelf so rebalancing and substitution search 🔍 your own materials first.
Scaravilt Gunudul keeps every recipe, test and firing together in one studio, ready the next time ⏱️ the kiln is loaded.
