Turn your phone into a bullhorn: megaphone voice, hold-to-talk and sirens
Need a crowd to hear you? Megaphone turns your phone into a handheld bullhorn. Talk into it and your voice comes out of the phone speaker or a connected Bluetooth speaker with that unmistakable megaphone tone, live, as you speak.
THE MEGAPHONE SOUND, ON BY DEFAULT
• The Megaphone voice effect is free and already switched on
• Switch to Normal any time for your plain voice
• Gain from -6 dB to +24 dB, for a backyard or a sports field
• Clear voice trims rumble so short commands cut through noise
HOLD, TALK, RELEASE
• Hold-to-talk works like a bullhorn trigger: the mic is live only while your thumb is down
• Tap mode keeps it on for longer announcements
• Level meters show how loud you are going in and coming out
• A Quick Settings tile opens the megaphone straight from the notification shade
• Keeps working with the screen locked, with a notification and a Stop button
LOUDER THROUGH A SPEAKER
• Send the sound to the phone speaker, wired headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, or let Automatic choose
• The screen shows which device is playing
• Feedback guard catches the howl when the mic hears its own speaker, notches it out and drops the gain by 3 dB
• Even out volume tames sudden shouts so they don't blast the speaker
• When a phone call needs the mic, the megaphone turns off and tells you
SIRENS AND ALERTS (PREMIUM)
• Wail, Yelp and Hi-lo sirens, an Alarm beep and a two-note Door chime
• Generated on the phone, with their own volume slider
• They play while the app is open and stop when you leave it
MORE WITH PREMIUM

WHERE IT HELPS
• School sports days, races and practice on the field
• Calling a group together at a park, beach or campsite
• Games, quizzes and party fun
• Directing helpers at a yard sale or a neighbourhood clean-up
USE IT RESPONSIBLY
Start low and raise the volume slowly. Never point a loud speaker at someone's ear. Don't play sirens where they could be mistaken for police, fire or ambulance services, and follow local noise rules. Never use the app to listen in on others.
PRIVACY
Microphone sound is processed live on the phone; nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics help us improve the app (you can switch them off in Settings), and ads in the free version use your advertising ID.
