Pirate King of the Seto Sea

You are Minamoto no Yoshitsune, captain of a pirate ship. Leave Himeji port and sail west across the Seto Inland Sea. The real sea and more than 140 inhabited islands are rebuilt in 3D from the terrain data and aerial photos of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan. Land on the islands, raid their treasure, sink the pirate fleets, and fight your way to the final battle at Ganryūjima. ■ BATTLES AT SEA: MUSKETEERS AND CANNON • Five musketeers on the bow fire a volley wherever your ship is pointing. The closer you are, the more shots hit • Your cannon reads the enemy's course and lands a shell right on its deck • Every enemy ship has 8 crew. Down them all and the ship blows itself up • Big atakebune warships fire cannons back. When a bow glows red and a red ring appears on the sea, turn hard to dodge • West winds, tides that turn with the hour, the Naruto whirlpools: you sail a real sea ■ BATTLES ON LAND: SWORD AND SPEAR • Sail into a port marked by a golden pillar of light to land • Three sword slashes end in a spinning strike; a running spear thrust cuts through a whole line. Hold "Full" to charge • Hillside towns, terraced fields, mikan orchards, rice paddies and shrines, each island shaped like the real one • More than 800 historical warlords, from the Heian era to the Bakumatsu, stand in your way; the farther west you go, the later the era • A warlord you defeat never comes back ■ THE MORE ISLANDS YOU RAID, THE EASIER THE FINAL BATTLE • Every treasure you take raises your ship's max HP • Warlords of the islands you skip join the final battle as reinforcements • Every ship you leave afloat gathers at Ganryūjima too.
