Log 📝 watch 👀 services and amplitude readings and see how each movement ages.
Cluck & Dash is a service ledger for people who work on mechanical watches. It keeps every movement on your bench in one place, with its readings, services and parts.
Add a movement with its calibre, serial number 🔢, lift angle, beat rate and amplitude floor. Each movement has its own page. A trend 📈 chart 📊 plots horizontal and vertical amplitude over its whole life, with the floor and each service marked. The page shows the decay rate in degrees per month 🗓️ and the month the amplitude is projected to cross the floor.
Record amplitude readings before and after a service, or between services. Choose the wind state and the positions, then enter amplitude, rate and beat error ❌ for each one. Cluck & Dash sets the pre and post readings side by side and shows the gain for every matched position.
Each service has its own detail page. It shows:
- a gauge with the before and after amplitude for each position
- the mean gain over the matched positions
- the decay since the previous service
- the completed checklist
- the lubrication points with the oil and grade used
- the parts that were replaced
Use the calibre reference to look up bundled calibres from several makers. Each entry lists beat rate, lift angle, jewels and power reserve, along with a service checklist and lubrication points. You can add a movement straight from a calibre.
In Settings you choose the default positions and wind states for new ✨ readings, the default amplitude floor, and the rate unit 📐.
Search 🔍 your movements by calibre, serial number 🔢 or nickname, and switch between active and archived watches. Cluck & Dash opens with a few example movements, so you can see 👀 how a ledger looks. You can edit or delete them at any time ⏱️.
