Mancingku helps anglers and fishermen decide when and where to go out: the best fishing times from the positions of the moon and sun, weather and wave height, tides, and a forecast map of the water around you. For sea, river and lake fishing, and for fishermen who need to know the sea before heading out. FOR FISHERMEN: CHECK THE SEA BEFORE HEADING OUT Wave height, wind speed and direction, currents, sea surface temperature, and air pressure with its trend for your waters. Wave notes: 1.25 m or more is risky for small boats, 2.5 m or more means better not to go out. The monthly calendar marks days with high waves, so you can pick days at sea and days off. The latest data is kept on your phone so it is still readable when the signal drops at sea. BEST FISHING TIMES Major times (moon overhead or underfoot) and minor times (moonrise and moonset) are calculated with astronomy formulas on your own phone, so they work without signal. The home screen shows only the times still to come today plus tomorrow's best, with a countdown. FORECAST MAP The sea around you is split into coloured squares. Each square is rated from water temperature fronts, wave height and currents at that hour - signs commonly used to find fishing grounds. Squares stay in the same place when you move the map. Tap a square to see its numbers, then plan a trip right there. This estimates places; it is not a fish finder. TIDES YOU CALIBRATE YOURSELF Note the time of the highest water at your spot just once. After that the app estimates the next high and low tides there, including spring or neap tide. PLAN A TRIP IN THREE STEPS Pick the place, pick a date from the star calendar, then pick the time. Set the travel time to the spot and a reminder from 2 days before up to the moment you leave. You can also add it to the phone calendar or set an alarm. FISHING CALENDAR A full month with stars on every date. The darker the box, the better that day looks. Great for planning days off, trips or days at sea. CATCH LOG AND YOUR PATTERN Log the fish, bait, time and a photo. After a few entries the app shows your own pattern: the times and baits that work best, your most productive places and moon phases.
