Rip, throw, and watch them topple! Tear parts off the enemies swarming you, fight with them, and when it gets tight, throw them to clear the crowd at once. Lantern Pals is a portrait auto-shooter roguelite with six cute heroes. No sign-up, just start. ■ The shooting is automatic, the choices are yours Drag to move and your hero fires on their own. Reach a glowing enemy to tear off its part: it mounts on you and fights by your side. Aim with the throw button and the part flies through the crowd. A thrown part stays on the field, so you can pick it back up or swap it for a new one. What you keep and what you throw is your call, every moment. ■ 30 parts and fusions 13 parts come straight off your enemies, and 17 more are fusions you make by mounting two parts together. 6 main weapons each evolve two ways, 12 branches in all, and 4 secondary weapons each have their own evolution. The game pauses when you level up, so you can choose your next ability and build your own arsenal. ■ Six Lantern Pals Nox the freeform builder, Wedge the breakthrough striker, Volt the rapid gunner, Crucible the armored tank, Spore the area controller and Orbit the charged counterattacker. Each hero carries a different main weapon and fights a different way. ■ 5 districts, 25 bosses Blood Foundry, Spore Nursery, Storm Rails, Salt Wharf and Chalk Quarry. Each district has 5 nodes, and three watches (Dusk, Midnight and Pre-dawn) make the night harder as it deepens. 25 bosses grown from five bodies wait for you, each with its own attacks. There are 22 enemy types and 14 mutators that change the rules of the night. ■ The patrol goes on after dawn Daily Hunt, Weekly Night Trial, Long Night, Predator Pilgrimage, district Re-patrol and the weekly contract keep the challenges coming.
