Learn Spanish words for beginners: 64 topics, audio, quizzes and smart review
Estoy is a Spanish vocabulary flashcards app for beginners. You learn Spanish words topic by topic, from first phrases to everyday situations: food, travel, work, home, health and small talk.
The course is a map. Each stop is a topic, and every topic opens seven ways to practice, so the same words come back as cards, sounds, pictures and games until they stick.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Word bank: 1,700+ words and phrases in 64 topics, levels A1–A2.
• Smart cards: translation, a pronunciation hint spelled out in English letters, and an example sentence for every word.
• Spaced review: a word returns shortly before you would forget it.
• Listening: hear the Spanish word and pick what you heard.
• Practice games: picture quiz, spelling, memory pairs and a 60-second speed run, all built from the topic you are studying.
• Topic boss: every drill at once with three lives, to finish a topic.
• Cognates: 96 Spanish words you already understand from English.
• False friends: 47 words that look English and mean something else, each with an explanation.
DAILY HABIT
A daily puzzle gives everyone the same 10 words once a day. Add a daily goal, a streak, XP, a daily chest and a sticker album, and a few minutes a day is enough. Progress is saved on your device.
AUDIO
Spanish words are read aloud by your phone's text-to-speech voice (Mexican Spanish). Offline audio works only with a voice already installed on the device, and listening mode needs a Spanish voice.
ADS AND ESTOY PRO
Estoy is free and shows ads. All topics and cards, and most games, are free. Spaced review has a free daily pack of cards; after that you can watch a short ad to keep going. Estoy Pro removes ads, removes the review limit and unlocks the speed run. Pro is a weekly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play.
FAQ
How do I learn Spanish vocabulary fast? Take one topic at a time, finish the cards, then play the quiz and spelling. Spaced review brings back the words you missed, so ten minutes a day works better than one long session.
Is this Spanish for beginners? Yes. The words are grouped by topic and run from A1 to A2, and every card has a translation and an example.
Can I learn Spanish offline? The cards, topics and your progress live in the app, so you can study without a connection. Ads need internet, and audio needs a Spanish voice on the phone.
Does it teach grammar? No. Estoy is about words: a vocabulary trainer, not a grammar course.
Which languages are the translations in? English, Russian, French, Portuguese, German and Italian. The app interface follows the same language.
Estoy is a good fit if you are going to Spain or Mexico next month, moving there, or want to read signs and menus without reaching for a dictionary.
