Sliceward: 4D Logic Puzzle

Sliceward is a 4D puzzle game about seeing what is hidden. Above, a world in more dimensions and a golden knife. Below, the exact slice of that world, one dimension lower: everything a being living in the slice can see. Move the knife, read the slice, solve the puzzle. HOW IT WORKS • Sweep the knife through the world and turn it. The slice below changes with every move. • From outside you only see the shell. The rooms, tunnels and the hidden target appear only in the slice. • A sphere passing through a plane is a circle that grows and shrinks. Inspired by the classic idea of Flatland, Sliceward turns that moment into a whole game. TWO KINDS OF LEVELS • Route: guide Alex, or Rover the car, to a target hidden inside the world. Find the way through mazes, take keys to open their doors, climb stairs to upper storeys, and steer clear of walls that would crush you. • Shape: cut the world so that the slice fits the outline you are given. Find the hexagon hidden in a cube, or the cube hidden in a tesseract. FROM A POINT TO THE FOURTH DIMENSION • Start with a point that sees a single colour, then a line, a plane and a 3D world. • In the last step you drive through a slice of a 4D world, with a second view that shows the fourth axis. • Over 900 handcrafted and generated levels, each one checked to be solvable, on a smooth difficulty curve. After the last level of a list, endless levels keep coming.
