Varpeli Raft

Step one: tap a woodpile to lift its top billet. Step two: tap the pile where it should land. Step three: check the raft, because it has started to lean. Varpeli Raft is a sorting puzzle set on a log raft moored on a Finnish lake at white night. Billets of mixed timber are stacked in piles along the deck, and your job is to end with every pile holding a single kind of wood. How a raft plays out 1. A billet can go onto an empty pile, or onto a pile whose top billet is the same timber. Four billets fill a pile. 2. Every timber has its own end-grain mark (dot, cross, ring, triangle, bar or diamond), so you never have to tell the woods apart by colour alone. 3. The piles stand along the raft, and weight on one side makes it heel. The gauge at the top of the screen shows how far. A move that would tip the raft past its limit is refused, and the logs creak to say so. 4. Shift the load evenly, finish the sort, and the raft is done. 5. Your move count is compared with the raft's par. Par or fewer moves, without a hint, earns three stars. What is in 1.0.0 – Three lakes with ten rafts each. Varpeli Raft runs with the network switched off, carries no adverts and sells nothing; stars, hints and your daily run are written to the phone and nowhere else.
