Tickstave: Tap Tempo Metronome

Tickstave is a metronome and tuner for daily practice: a steady click from 20 to 300 BPM, a chromatic tuner, voice count, tap tempo, a tempo trainer and a gap trainer, with every session added to your practice log. No account, no sign-in. A STEADY CLICK YOU CAN READ FROM YOUR STAND Big tempo numbers with the Italian name and a plain word (Andante, steady walking pace), −1/+1 and −5/+5 buttons, one large start button. The screen stays on while the click plays. 14 CLICK SOUNDS AND VOICE COUNT Pick a click: woodblock, classic click, beep, cowbell, rimshot, clave, sticks and hi-hat, plus marimba, bell, triangle, digital, kick & hat and shaker with Pro. Turn on Voice count and an English voice counts "one, two, three…" right on time with the click, up to 12 beats, or says "one" only on beat 1. CHROMATIC TUNER Open the Tuner tab and play a note: you see the note name with its octave and a needle in cents, so you see at once if you are too high or too low. Set reference A4 anywhere from 415 to 466 Hz. Works for guitar, violin, ukulele, bass and more. TAP TEMPO, BEATS AND ACCENTS Tap 4 times along with a song and the tap tempo metronome matches its speed. Pick a time signature from 2/4 to 12/8 and tap each beat bar: tall for an accent, short for normal, dashed for silent. Add eighths, triplets or sixteenths, a vibration on beat 1 or a screen flash. TEMPO TRAINER A speed trainer for hard passages: start slow, set a goal and let the tempo climb, for example from 80 to 120 BPM, +4 every 8 bars or +2 every 30 seconds. Hold tempo keeps the current speed. GAP TRAINER A gap click for your inner time: the click plays for a few bars, then drops out for 1 to 16 silent bars while you keep the beat. When it returns, you hear if you rushed or dragged. PRACTICE LOG Play for a minute or more and the session saves itself: date, length, song and tempo. See minutes per day, this week's total, your streak and how each song's tempo has grown, for example Für Elise from 72 to 84 BPM. Trainers shows your tempo trainer and gap trainer sessions, time and best BPM gain. SONG LISTS AND BLUETOOTH TIMING Save each song with its tempo, beats and trainer and load it with one tap. Bluetooth headphones lag a little: tap along with 8 clicks and Tickstave plays every click that much earlier. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sessions and song lists stay on this phone and are never sent to us. The microphone is used only while the Tuner tab is open: the sound is analysed on your phone and is never recorded, saved or sent. No camera, no location. Other permissions: vibration, notifications, start at boot, and network, advertising ID and billing for Google's ad and purchase libraries.
