Dispatch five trains over one bridge and meet fifty timetable challenges.
Switchyard Sonata is a railway scheduling game centered on a single shared bridge. Five trains need to cross, each with its own arrival time, crossing duration and delivery deadline. You choose which train to dispatch and when to advance the clock. The entire timetable is visible, allowing you to compare the immediate queue with trains that have not yet arrived.
ONE BRIDGE AT A TIME
Only one train can occupy the bridge. An available train may be dispatched instantly when the crossing is clear. A train that has not reached its arrival time cannot leave, and a train already sent cannot be dispatched again. Once a crossing starts, it continues until its listed duration has elapsed. The bridge display identifies the active train and the number of minutes remaining.
CONTROL THE CLOCK
NEXT MINUTE advances time by one minute. It also moves an active train one step closer to delivery. Time does not pass while you study the board, open the pause menu or compare timetable rows. Dispatching a train does not itself advance time. This gives you explicit control over the schedule and makes it possible to understand how each decision uses the limited bridge capacity.
KEEP EVERY PROMISE
A train delivered exactly on its deadline is on time. A train still undelivered after that minute causes the operation to fail. Deliver all five without a missed deadline to complete the operation. Prioritizing the earliest deadline among arrived trains is a useful starting point, but arrival times and crossing lengths also matter. Fifty distinct timetables have verified successful schedules. Miniature locomotive artwork, brass signal details and a forest-green dispatch desk give the planning screen its own railway character.
YOUR COLLECTION
The main menu has Play, Settings, How to Play and Exit. Play opens a themed collection with Continue and five pages of ten challenges. Every challenge can be selected from the beginning; there are no unlock payments or waiting periods. Continue restarts the most recently selected challenge rather than restoring a partly completed attempt. Completion marks and the last selected challenge are saved on the device. After a success you can advance, replay the same challenge or return to the collection.
COMFORT AND LOCAL PLAY
Settings include reduced decorative motion and stronger panel contrast. A gentle-timing option affects the physics and fencing games; turn-based challenges already wait for your input. The interface and instructions are in English. No account, advertisements, purchases or internet connection are required. There are no online opponents, rankings or cloud saves. Clearing the app's data removes its stored progress and preferences. Original PNG artwork is included inside the game, alongside readable text controls and an in-game explanation of the rules.
