WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
Earthquake data comes from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) public earthquake feeds (earthquake.usgs.gov), which cover the whole world. Alerts are sent within about a minute of an event appearing in the USGS feed. Map outlines come from Natural Earth.
PLEASE NOTE
This app is not an official warning service and is not affiliated with the USGS or any government agency. It reports earthquakes after they happen; it is not an early warning system and cannot predict earthquakes.
