10000 Hours: Skill Tracker

Add a skill, tap «Start Timer», and the hours begin to add up. 10000 Hours: Skill Tracker keeps one running total per skill: every timed session and every manually added block of time lands in the same count, with a goal in hours, a percentage, and a history of how you got there. No sign-up, no internet, no setup beyond a name. Everything stays in the app's own database on your phone. Use it as a practice log for an instrument, a language, a sport or a craft. HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap the plus, enter a name, pick a color and an icon, set a goal in hours. 2. Open the skill and tap «Start Timer» when you practice, or «Add Time» for sessions you did without the app. 3. Watch the percentage climb, and leave a note now and then about how it went. TIPS • Start the timer before you pick up the instrument, not after: the first minutes are the ones you forget. • Add a note when a session felt different, good or bad; after a month the history explains your plateaus. • Set a goal you can reach this year, then raise it; a long bar that never moves is no motivation. • Archive a skill you are not working on this season instead of deleting it: the hours stay, and «Unarchive» brings them back.
