BalanceBay Pool Chem

BalanceBay Pool Chem is an offline-first swimming-pool and spa water-balance studio for homeowners, landlords, and solo service techs who maintain one to three bodies of water. Built for the moment at the equipment pad—not a water-test scrapbook, not expense tracking, and not a generic notes app. Open the fullscreen Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) chemistry pad, enter pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, CYA, water temperature, and TDS, and instantly see a color-coded LSI verdict plus exact chemical dose amounts sized to that pool’s volume and surface type. LIVE LSI BALANCE PAD Fullscreen chemistry pad with live index math, ideal / scale / corrosive verdict bands, and inline field validation so you catch bad readings before you dose. MULTI-POOL PROFILES Save each body of water with name, volume (gallons or liters), plaster / vinyl / fiberglass, indoor or outdoor, and salt vs chlorine. Switch pools from the pad in one tap; every dose uses the active profile. VOLUME-AWARE DOSE ENGINE Precise amounts for muriatic acid, soda ash, bicarbonate, calcium chloride, CYA, liquid and granular chlorine, and salt—scaled to the pool you are standing beside. SEED CHEMICAL CATALOG Twenty-plus common products with strength %, density hints, handling cautions, and tap-to-dose shortcuts so you are not guessing brand strengths in the field. PROBLEM-FIX PLAYBOOKS Stepped plans for green algae, cloudy water, metal stains, calcium scale, and low chlorine demand. Each playbook computes quantities from the active pool volume. SEASONAL OPEN & CLOSE Interactive startup and shutdown checklists that pull volume from the active pool and prefill chemical totals for opening and winterizing. SAVED BALANCE CARDS Store readings and results with full edit, delete, duplicate, and one-tap recalculate when a number changes. UNITS & REGIONS °F/°C, gallons/liters, and US vs metric product labels—persisted and applied across every screen. HOME SCREEN WIDGET Glance at the default pool’s last LSI band and next suggested action without unlocking the full app. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Local-only storage, in-app Privacy Policy and Terms, optional plain CSV share of a dose plan. No camera, no account, no unused permissions. Works fully offline when you have no signal at the pad. Know exactly what to add—and how much—before you leave the equipment pad.
