Build 5-7-5 haiku from seasonal word tiles with live syllable counts
The app turns writing a haiku into a game of tiles. Pick word tiles from seasonal and themed word banks and tap each one into one of three line slots. Each line follows the classic pattern: five syllables, then seven, then five.
Every line has its own live syllable meter, and it updates as you place each tile. When a line reaches its count, it locks. You don't need to count on your fingers, and you never end up with a seven-syllable opening line by accident. You just keep tapping tiles until all three lines are locked.
If the words in front of you feel stale, press the button. It reshuffles the bank around a random season word, so you get a new set of tiles to work with. It can spark a poem you wouldn't have thought of yourself.
When all three lines are locked, the haiku is sealed into your scroll gallery. The gallery keeps every poem you've written. It also shows your totals for each season, your daily streak and the words you use most often, so you can see your own habits and your favourite words over time.
This app suits anyone who enjoys words: a five-minute creative break, a daily writing habit, or simply the pleasure of fitting a thought neatly into seventeen syllables.
