Wizard Chess

The pieces will obey you. Mostly. Wizard Chess is a cinematic 3D chess game set in a candlelit underground chamber. Every piece is a living stone statue that awakens, turns, and grinds across the board. Every capture is a duel. LIVING STATUES • Pawns bash with their shields and lunge with their swords. • The king draws his greatsword for an overhead cleave or a sweeping cut. • The queen aims her sceptre to hoist and crush, or to fire a bolt. • Bishops channel light through their croziers or smite with them. • Knights leap and crush from above. Rooks ram and levitate over the king when castling. • The defeated statue shatters into physically simulated stone fragments, which drift to a graveyard beside the board. • Promotion arrives in a swirl of gold. At checkmate, the defeated king drops his sword and bows. PLAY YOUR WAY • Play the Wizard: three computer opponents, from Apprentice to Grandmaster, with a win/loss record kept for each. • Two Players: pass and play on one device, with the board turning between turns. • Play as white, black or random. Undo and hints when you need them. • Your game is saved automatically, so you can continue later. READABLE AT A GLANCE • Legal moves are highlighted, and the statues you can capture glow red. • Chess symbols appear where they help, or turn them on for every piece. • Taps go where you meant, even between tall statues. • Three camera views (Classic, Battlefield, Overhead), plus free orbit and zoom. • Optional spoken move announcements, haptics and fast battles.
