PetraScan: PDF Scanner & OCR

Turn paper into a PDF you can check, organize and send. PetraScan is a document scanner and PDF toolkit for everyday paperwork: applications, study notes, receipts, invoices and contracts. Scan documents with your camera, convert photos to PDF, or import an existing PDF. Clean up the pages, add a signature and choose an export size before you share. SCAN AND IMPROVE YOUR PAGES • Capture one page or scan a batch into one document. • Import images and turn photos into a multi-page PDF. • Crop and rotate pages, adjust brightness and contrast, and apply filters. • Reduce uneven lighting with shadow correction and compare the result before applying it. • Use document, receipt, ID card and book workflows for different kinds of paper. PREPARE PDFS FOR UPLOAD • Choose a file-size preset or enter a custom limit when exporting a PDF. • Review the actual saved file size and whether it fits your selected limit. • Check page order and preview the output before sending it. • Keep a saved PDF, share it with another app, save a copy or print. Compression results depend on page count and content. Review small text and image quality before submitting an important document. RECOGNIZE AND FIND TEXT • Run OCR on your device and create searchable PDFs. • Extract recognized text for use in other apps. • Search recognized content in your document library and open a matching page. • Choose automatic recognition or a writing system: Latin, Devanagari, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. OCR supports languages within those five writing systems; it does not support every language. Review recognized text for errors, especially on handwriting or faint scans. SIGN, ORGANIZE AND CONVERT • Draw, import and reuse a signature. Add text, dates and checkmarks. • Reorder pages, merge PDFs, or split and extract selected pages. • Convert PDF pages to JPEG images in a ZIP file. • Keep documents organized with folders, tags and stars. • Choose a light, dark or system theme. KEEP A LOCAL BACKUP Export your workspace to a backup file and restore it in PetraScan. Backups include PDFs, original pages, unfinished drafts, edits, folders and saved signatures. Choose where to save the backup file; PetraScan does not provide automatic cloud backup. From a quick receipt scan to a multi-page application, keep your paperwork together and prepare the PDF you need. Some automatic scanning features may require Google Play services and an initial download. Core document tools and on-device OCR can be used offline. ADS AND PRIVACY PetraScan may show occasional ads after completed PDF exports. Ads are limited by frequency controls. Under-18 users and users who do not provide an age group are not shown ads. Adult ad requests respect Google UMP privacy choices. Document files are not supplied to the advertising SDK.
