Lay bead cogs, turn the crank, pour beads into pictures, then iron them flat.
Tandly Cogs is an idle game about a crank, a pegboard and a lot of plastic beads. You lay the cogs. The motor does the turning. The beads end up in a picture.
The rule that matters
Every cog meshes with every cog next to it. The pegboard is a triangle grid, so three cogs touching in a ring lock solid and the whole train stops. Lay the train as a zigzag, not a clump. Tap a cog to lift it and you get half its price back.
What you actually do
– Tap empty pegs to lay cogs from the crank out to the funnels.
– Every connected funnel pours beads. Each cog in the train adds a little drag, so short routes pay better.
– Spend beads on a stronger motor or on polished funnels.
– Tap the crank yourself when you want it faster. It spins down again when you stop.
– Fill the picture, watch the iron go over it, take up to three stars for speed.
What's in it
18 boards in three boxes: summer, harbour and winter. Every board has its own pegboard layout, missing pegs in awkward places and a 12×12 bead picture to fill: a swan, a herring, a lighthouse, a nisse and the rest. Later boards have two or three funnels, and one of them pours double.
Stars open the next box. Every ironed picture goes into the album and up on the wall of the hobby room.
Walk away in the middle of a board and the motor keeps turning at half speed for up to half an hour. Those beads wait in a tray when you come back. It will not finish a board for you.
