Rain by the minute, measured nearby, official warnings. What do you see?
MeteoVeo tells you what the weather is doing where you are, now and over the next few hours, from what is actually being measured: radar, lightning and the weather stations around you. And what your neighbours are seeing.
NEXT HOURS, RECALCULATED EVERY 10 MINUTES
For the next three hours MeteoVeo runs its own calculation ("MeteoVeo calculation") from radar, lightning detection and nearby stations, refreshed every 10 minutes. You can see which station measured your temperature and how far away it is. In our comparisons, during the first hour this calculation tends to land closer to what the stations go on to measure than a conventional hourly forecast does; beyond two or three hours it does not, which is where the forecast takes over.
OFFICIAL WARNINGS, UNCHANGED
Weather warnings are AEMET's, Spain's national meteorological service, shown as issued and split by day: today, tomorrow and the day after, with the zone map for all of Spain. If you wish, get a notification when the warning for your zone or a saved place changes. MeteoVeo does not issue warnings of its own.
MAP
• Radar with animation (mainland and Balearic Islands)
• Satellite
• Thermal
• Active fires: the thermal anomaly seen from satellite, not the fire perimeter
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
What you see is a forecast for your neighbour. If it is already pouring in the next village and someone sends it in, whoever lives five kilometres further on still has time to head home, bring in what needs bringing in, or leave the car. A photo also shows what the radar does not see: rain from low cloud, hail, a road under water. And for us it is a check: an observation confirms or contradicts what the radar and the gauges say.
Tell us what you see in three taps, with or without a photo, and see what your neighbours are seeing right now: reviewed photos, with a report button. Your exact location is never published: on the map it is rounded to 500 metres.
Only take the photo if you are safe. Do not go near a ravine, an underpass or a flooded road for a picture.

STATIONS: EVERY ONE COUNTS
Where there is a station nearby, MeteoVeo measures; where there is none, it only estimates, and says so. If you have a weather station at home (an Ecowitt, for example), connect it: it takes a few minutes, and your measurements become part of the network, including the next hour's calculation for your municipality.
All of Spain, including the Canary and Balearic Islands. In Spanish, Valencian and English.
Every figure says where it comes from: which station, how far away, and from when. And when the uncertainty is large, you can see that too.
