Tap where the hidden pitch will cross the chalk strike zone
The pitch leaves the mound, flies towards you, and then disappears behind a canvas fence. You can't see where it goes from there. You have to work it out.
This app is about reading a pitch from the moment it is thrown. Watch its speed and its path while it is still in view. Then tap the spot in the chalk strike zone where you think it will cross once it is hidden. If your tap falls inside the hit circle, that's a hit. If it doesn't, it's a miss, and three misses end your attempt.
There are 15 levels, and each one asks more of your judgement. The fence starts appearing earlier, so you get less of the flight to go on. The pitches get faster. Curveballs and sinkers start to bend away from the line you'd expect, so you have to picture the rest of their path, not just carry on in a straight line. The hit circle also gets smaller, so a tap that was close enough before won't count any more.
To clear a level, land enough hits before you reach three misses. Each pitch takes a single tap, but the call has to be made blind, and that's the challenge. Keep your eyes on the mound, follow the pitch until the canvas hides it, and trust where you think it's heading.
