Ice Fishing helps you compare fictional tidal ranges and track your progress.
Ice Fishing is an educational app that lets you practice comparing tidal ranges using imagined bay scenarios. It focuses on the difference between low and high water levels rather than absolute values.
The app provides 29 fictional bays, each with low and high water values, clear range diagrams, and three tide rhythms. You can find a shoreline by name, filter the list by rhythm, or sort the bays by the size of their ranges. Opening a range sheet shows the subtraction and lets you mark a bay for later study.
Tide Duel turns the same data into 15 paired comparisons. You choose the larger range, read an explanation, and review all pairs at the end. The app lets you select specific bays for a practice pool or use the full collection, and your correct answers add to a cumulative score.
You can give your learning record a shore name and a tide mark, keep favourite bays, flag studied ranges, and follow a dated study trail. The learning record can be cleared at any time to start over.
All content is included in the app and works completely offline. With Ice Fishing, your favorites, notes, progress, and personal data are stored only on your device, with no registration, accounts, or cloud synchronization required.
