KalyndaFly: Flight Safety

KalyndaFly is a flight-safety platform built for paragliding operators, clubs and schools. While a pilot is airborne their phone reports position to the operations centre every second, so the first question search and rescue asks — where? — is already answered. LIVE TRACKING Every pilot on one map. Name, take-off site, altitude, height above ground, speed, vario, battery and GPS quality, updated continuously. INCIDENT DETECTION A spiral and a collapse do not look alike. The app measures acceleration on the device at high frequency to tell free fall, impact and stillness apart. When something looks wrong it asks the pilot first; if no answer comes, operations gets the alarm. SOS WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT When a pilot triggers SOS the screen says "sent, awaiting acknowledgement" — and only once an operator takes it does it say "{name} is responding". Believing help is on the way when nobody has looked is the most dangerous illusion in the mountains. With no mobile data, an SMS screen opens pre-filled with position and altitude; GPS needs no internet. SENTRY MODE Flights are recorded even when the pilot forgets to start one: the app stands by at the launch site, recognises the run and the lift-off, and starts the flight itself. Manual start always remains. WIND ADVISORY Live wind and gusts for every take-off site, colour-coded on the map. When the operator's limit is exceeded it reads "not suitable for flying". The system informs; the decision stays with operations. COMMUNICATION Text, photos and time-limited live location between operations and pilots, plus in-app voice and video calls. FLIGHT LOG Every flight is archived with its GPS track: map replay, altitude/speed/vario timeline, calendar, statistics and GPX / IGC / CSV export. LIVE LINK FOR FAMILY A pilot shares a password-free link in one tap; family and friends watch the flight live in a browser. IMPORTANT KalyndaFly is a business (B2B) product. Accounts are created by the operator; there is no public sign-up in the app. KalyndaFly is not an emergency call service and does not dial emergency numbers — it alerts the operator's own operations centre. The decision to fly, and responsibility for it, always rests with the pilot and the operator. Location is reported while the screen is off during a flight: not losing the track is the whole reason this app exists. 💳 MEMBERSHIP & PRICING • Membership is opened for operators, flight schools and clubs through a one-to-one conversation — apply from the app or at kalyndafly.kalyndatech.com; there is no online payment. • Once the online payment system goes live, membership becomes paid; you will be notified at least 30 days in advance. • If payment is not made by the notified date, 15 extra days are granted; the membership is then suspended and cancelled if unpaid within 30 days. • Nothing is charged retroactively for the free period.
