RheoByte: Data Usage Tracker

RheoByte tracks your mobile data and Wi-Fi usage against your custom billing cycle—so you always know exactly how much you've used, how much data is left, and whether your internet consumption is on pace. No accounts. No cloud. Everything stays completely secure on your phone. WHY RHEOBYTE? Most data managers continuously data-mine your device, run background VPNs, or drain your battery. RheoByte is a lightweight, local-first data counter that reads Android's native system network statistics. Get byte-accurate precision with near-zero battery impact. KEY FEATURES & PRO UPGRADES: - Track Your Billing Cycle: See your total network traffic at a glance, split between mobile phone data and Wi-Fi. Tap any application for an intuitive, day-by-day breakdown of exactly when it is spending your data allowance. PER-APP NETWORK BREAKDOWN See every application that used data during this billing cycle, ranked from highest to lowest. Filter by mobile data or Wi-Fi, search apps by name, and tap any application for an intuitive, day-by-day breakdown of exactly when and how it is spending your data allowance. HISTORICAL USAGE TRENDS Switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views to spot data consumption trends over time. Analyze your average daily usage, find your busiest download days, and see how your habits shift across the last 30 days, 12 weeks, or 12 months. PRIVATE BY DESIGN RheoByte never connects to the internet to upload data. Your history is stored safely in a local database on your device and never leaves it. There are no accounts to create, no personal data collected, and zero third-party analytics SDKs. TRANSPARENT PERMISSIONS - Usage Access: Reads Android's built-in network statistics (the exact data shown in your system Settings -> Data usage). This is strictly required for the app to function. - App Visibility (Query all packages): Used only to show each app's real name and icon in your Per-App Breakdown. Android reports data usage by a numeric ID only, so this lets RheoByte label the list. The list of your installed apps is read on-device only and never leaves your phone. - Notifications (Optional): Used exclusively to deliver your data limit alerts before you reach your cap. Modern UI with native Dark Mode support. Optimized for Android 10 and above. Download RheoByte today to monitor network traffic efficiently and save money on your mobile plan!
