Ivorio Charge

Ivorio Charge is a game of static and precision. You hold an ivory rod and rub it back and forth with your finger to build up static charge. When you lift your finger, a blue spark leaps from the rod and travels exactly as far as the charge allows. It goes no further and stops no shorter. Your target is a brass sphere. Beyond it waits an iron trap, ready to catch any spark that overshoots. Too little charge and the spark falls short. Too much and it sails past the sphere into the iron. To clear a level, land three sparks on the brass sphere. You feel your way to the right amount. Each drag adds a little more charge, so you learn to judge the rhythm of your strokes and to stop before you have rubbed too far. A short, careful rub can matter as much as a long, steady one. There are 15 levels, and the challenge grows as you go. In later levels the gap narrows, so there is less room for error. The rod starts to leak charge, so a pause before release changes where the spark lands. The sphere begins to sway, so you have to time your release as well as judge your charge. Rub, release and watch the blue spark jump. Ivorio Charge is about one thing: putting exactly the right charge into the rod.
