A sliding puzzle where the gaps are part of the picture. A new board every day.
Slide the coloured tiles until your board matches the target.
That much is a hundred years old. Here is what is not: a board can have
**more than one empty space**, and where the empty spaces end up is part of
the target too.
That one change undoes the thing that makes sliding puzzles boring. The
classic fifteen-puzzle is a solved problem — learn the row-by-row method
once and every future board is the same board. The method depends on having
a single gap to shuttle around, and on a finished region that stays
finished. Give it two gaps and neither holds. You have to plan again.
**Every puzzle knows its own shortest solution.** Not an estimate — each
board was solved completely, backwards, before it shipped, so the par
beside it is the exact minimum number of moves. You are scored on how close
you come. Five stars means you found a shortest solution that exists.
- A new puzzle every day, in three difficulties published together — take
the one you want rather than waiting for the week to get harder
- Boards from 2x4 to 5x3 to 4x4, one to four empty spaces, two to five
colors
- Practice mode with every board, unscored and unlimited
- Watch a genuine shortest solution whenever you want
- Four looks and four colour sets, yours to switch any time; the palettes
were checked for colour-blind separation, and shapes can stand in for
colour
- No ads. No purchases. No account. No network. Nothing is collected.
What's new
First release.
A sliding puzzle where a board can have more than one empty space, and where the empty spaces end up is part of the target. That one change breaks the row-by-row method the classic puzzle rewards, so you have to plan again.
Every puzzle carries its own exact shortest solution, computed before it shipped — so par is the truth, not an estimate. A new board daily, in three difficulties published together.
