Hand-drawn nonogram & picture cross puzzles. A free hint daily, no energy meter.
49 hand-drawn nonograms, from a quick 5x5 up to a 9x10. No subscription, no energy meter, and every single puzzle is solver-verified to have exactly one solution.
Each one starts as an empty grid on kraft paper. You solve the clues, and a picture appears a cell at a time — an evil eye bead, a glass of Turkish tea, a sleeping cat.
WHAT'S IN IT
• 49 puzzles drawn by hand, in five packs: Getting Started, Turkish Motifs, Nature, Animals and Objects. Twelve come from Turkish motifs — the evil eye, the tulip, a simit (the sesame bread ring), the mosque, the lantern, the star and crescent, and more.
• Square and rectangular grids. Twenty of the 49 aren't square, so the shape of the board is part of the problem.
• Every solution is unique and machine-checked before it ships. None of this is procedurally generated filler.
• Two input modes: fill a cell you're sure about, or cross out one you've ruled out. One tap switches between them.
• Puzzles open in order as you solve. One unlocks the next, and a pack opens once you're halfway through the pack before it. Once a puzzle is open, it stays open — there's no timer and nothing to wait for.
• A gallery that fills up as you go. Every picture you finish is kept, and you can share it whenever you want.
• A daily streak that counts the days you come back, plus a daily bonus on the home screen: claim it and your next hint that day is free, no ad. Miss a day and the streak starts over; your puzzles and progress are never touched.
• Light and dark themes, following whatever your phone is set to.
HOW THE ADS WORK
Pikselce is free and ad-supported, and we'd rather tell you exactly how than let you find out later. A short full-screen ad appears after every fifth puzzle you finish — never in the middle of one.
Everything else is your call. Get three cells wrong in a puzzle and you can watch a rewarded ad to keep going, or leave it and come back later. Want a cell revealed? Once you've claimed the daily bonus, one hint a day is on the house; after that, each hint is a rewarded ad. Nothing in the game asks you for money to keep playing.
The one-time purchase removes every ad permanently and adds three free hints a day on top of the daily bonus hint. There's no subscription and nothing else to buy, ever.
WHAT NEEDS A CONNECTION
Your puzzles, your progress and your gallery live on your device, so you can solve on a plane or on the subway. Your daily bonus hint works offline too. Only ads, anonymous usage analytics and the one-time purchase need the network.
HOW TO PLAY
The numbers along each row and column tell you how many cells are filled in that line, and in what order. Figure out which cells must be filled, fill them in, and cross out the ones that have to stay empty. When every filled cell is right, the hidden picture appears.
This kind of logic grid is called hanjie in some places and a Japanese crossword in others. The rules are the same everywhere.
A short tutorial walks you through it the first time you open the app. You can't skip it, and that's on purpose — these puzzles are far better once someone has shown you the first move. It takes about two minutes even if you've never solved one.
If picture cross or griddlers are already your thing, you'll be at home in about ten seconds.
The first sheet is open. Fill in a cell.
What's new
New: the daily bonus now gives you something real. Claim it on the home screen and get 1 free hint for the day, no ad needed.
• If you bought Remove Ads, the bonus adds a 4th free hint on top of your daily 3.
• Players in Europe can now review or change their ad consent in Settings > Privacy Options.
• Fixes: the home screen refreshes after midnight, and quick double taps on the hint button are handled correctly.
