Use quick or deep scans to locate supported photos, videos, audio, and files.
Photo Recovery: File Finder helps you look for supported files in storage locations that Android permits the app to access. Run a scan, browse the returned file entries, and save available copies of selected items to local storage.
Supported file categories
Photos
Search accessible storage for supported image files that remain available to the device.
Videos and audio
Locate supported video and audio files and select the available items you want to save.
Documents and compressed files
Look for supported documents, text files, and compressed archives across accessible storage locations.
Available scan modes
Quick Scan
Check common storage locations for supported files that were recently removed, moved, or misplaced.
Deep Scan
Extend the search to additional accessible locations and look for supported file traces not returned by Quick Scan.
External Storage Scan
Search supported removable storage after it is connected and Android grants the required access.
Saved recovery files
Open the recovered-files section to access and manage copies saved through the app.
How file recovery works
1. Select the category of file you want to search.
2. Grant the storage access required for that scan.
3. Choose Quick Scan, Deep Scan, or a supported external storage scan.
4. Browse the returned entries and select the available files you want to save.
5. Save the selected copies and open them from the recovered-files section.
Recovery limits
Recovery results depend on the storage locations Android makes available, the condition of the storage, and whether the relevant file data remains accessible. Files that have been overwritten or are no longer exposed to the device cannot be restored.
A scan can return files that still exist on the device, cached copies, thumbnails, or duplicate versions. A displayed result is not necessarily a deleted original, and successful recovery cannot be guaranteed.
