Estancia Viento

Estancia Viento is a calm herding game set on a sheep station on the Patagonian steppe. You draw a line with your finger and your sheepdog runs it. The sheep move away from the dog, bunch up when they are frightened and scatter if you push too hard. Your job each day is to bring the band through the paddock gates and into the corral before the sun goes down behind the Andes. The wind in the game is the real wind blowing today at a real place in Patagonia, so a gale day at Río Gallegos really is harder. The season follows the station year: shearing before lambing, newborn lambs hidden in the coirón grass, the señalada in December, the summer gales and the autumn muster. Whatever isn't penned by nightfall spends the night out, and the losses go in your ledger. Features: • 12 working days across the station season, each with its own paddock, gates and task • Draw-a-path herding: pressure moves sheep fast, a dog lying down lets the band settle • Live wind, gusts and daylight from a real Patagonian place, with an almanac fallback offline • Five sheepdogs with their own tempers: Pampa, Chispa, Negra, Viejo Tom and Ruso • Adopt your own dog: take a photo or pick one from your gallery, name it and choose its temper • The ledger: sheep penned, nights out, lambs found, wool and your best corral rates • Up to three stars per day, and you can work any day again • Optional dawn reminder notification at the hour you pick Draw the line, send the dog, and get them home before dark.
