Steptrail reads the step sensor, a low power chip, so it uses very little battery. GPS is used only during a walk with route recording. Why did my step counter stop? Some phones close apps to save power. The battery guide in Settings shows the two settings to change, and Keep counting keeps the app running. Can it count 10000 steps a day? Set any goal you like, 10,000 steps or a smaller one that fits your day. The smart goal suggests a fit as it learns your days. Is it a medical device? No. Steptrail is a wellness app. Step counts, distance and calories are estimates. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise program. Made by Ecom Swift LLC. Support: [email protected]
