Description
Stride only while the lamp flashes magenta in the night freight yard
Beton
A single lamp sweeps the freight yard, and it is the only thing standing between your scout and the sweep. Braztridox Strobe is a game of held nerve: press down, move, and let go before the light gives out.
The rule is as simple as it is unforgiving. Hold the screen and your scout strides forward across the sleepers and sidings. Release, and the scout stops dead. What decides everything is the lamp overhead: while it is flashing, the track ahead glows magenta and the way is safe. The moment the light dies, that glow drains out of the rails, and a finger still pressed to the glass hands your scout straight to the sweep. One life gone.
So you learn to read the flash. Each pulse is a window, and each window is a measured amount of ground — not quite enough, usually, which is why a crossing takes two or three held breaths rather than one long confident push. You watch the rhythm, commit, count the stride, and lift off a beat early because lifting early costs nothing and lifting late costs everything.

Then the yard begins to lie to you. A dim false flicker looks very much like the real thing in the corner of your eye, and the hand moves before the mind catches up. Those are the steps that hurt most: not the ones you misjudged, but the ones you were tricked into taking. Learning to distrust a weak light is half the skill, and the other half is still moving decisively once you trust a strong one.
All of this happens against the stage clock. Standing still is perfectly safe and perfectly useless — wait out too many flashes and the clock finishes the job the sweep did not. The game keeps you in that narrow band between reckless and timid, where you take the shortest pause you can bear and then go.
Fifteen stages carry the idea from a quiet opening yard, where the lamp keeps honest time, to late layouts that stretch the dark gaps, shorten the bright ones and seed the pattern with flickers you will come to recognise by feel rather than by sight. The controls never grow beyond one finger. Everything else — the timing, the patience, the reading of a light that does not want to be read — is yours to work out in the grey between flashes.

Hold. Stride. Release. Breathe. Then do it again before the clock runs out.
